“MamaBear” Karen McNeal Announces State Senate Bid To Protect Children and Fight for South Dakota’s Future
RAPID CITY, SD (AUGUST 18, 2024) – Today, Karen McNeal, a third generation South Dakotan, announced her candidacy for State Senate in District 32. She is running as an independent to fight for a brighter future for South Dakota.
McNeal is an intentional mother – a mamabear, savvy business woman, and servant-hearted leader with a proven track record. She has worked in corporate America for over 30 years and has traveled the world, negotiating high-stake deals and turning ideas into realities. Karen earned her undergraduate and graduate degree from South Dakota School of Mines and is proud to call Rapid City home. She is running as the candidate who is the “Fearless Defender of our Future.”
Senate candidate Karen McNeal issued the following statement:
“South Dakota is the best place to live, work, and raise a family, and I will work to keep it that way. Our current leadership refused to vote for a bill to protect South Dakota children from pornography and has not stood up for the best interest of our community. I’m not a politician, and my only agenda is to stand in the gap for South Dakotans who are being taxed out of their homes, have a hard time paying their bills, and want more educational opportunities for their children.
“It’s time for new leadership. We need someone who will not bend to the will of corrupt corporations, but that answers to and fights for the good, hardworking people of Rapid City. That’s exactly what I will do.”
Karen McNeal vows to fight to:
Protect children and stand up for families
Lower property taxes and secure property rights
Limit government overreach
